Ceará has long ranked as one of the Brazilians’ favourite places to go on holiday. The region’s long sandy beaches with warm waters, its delicious local gastronomy and ideal conditions for water sports make it a perennial must-visit. However, despite these ideal vacation conditions Ceará boasts only a handful of luxury beach resorts, and The Coral is one of them.
Publisher Marcia Travessoni and her team recently compiled a list of luxury hotels on the Ceará coastline. Their final selection only included establishments meeting high-end criteria for discerning tourists. The list of 13 covered the whole of the Ceará coast from its southern tip up to Jericoacoara in the north.
Criteria for a luxury beach resort in Ceará
The hotels chosen for the list all have similar characteristics, which together form the basis for a luxury experience. They all place the focus on privacy and as a result, the chosen beach resorts in Ceará only offer a few rooms or beach villas available to rent.
All the establishments are surrounded by nature, affording guests a tranquil environment to take a break. The majority has a beachfront location with excellent conditions to kite surf. And finally, the hotels all offer high-end services such as a personal trainer or a restaurant with an haute cuisine menu.
The Coral features as luxury hotel
One of the selected luxury beach resorts in Ceará is The Coral, located right on the sands in Flecheiras, around 140km north of the capital of the state, Fortaleza. The publication describes The Coral as a “pueblo resort”, situated between a natural lagoon and the sea.
The article highlights the different types of accommodation available at the 5-star resort, pointing out that some have seafront positions while others are near the lagoon. The Coral has a free shuttle service transporting guests from different locations in the resort to the beach and Ocean Lounge beach club.
The MT team lists the services available at The Coral. They include babysitting, personal chef and wellness treatments such as massages. Plus, the Ocean Kite Club by GKC, which opened officially in mid-June.
